EPD Services
SIPs are used to build the shell of a home or commercial building. Prior to the shell being erected, foundations must be prepared, etc. and after the shell is erected the plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry etc. work must be done. We function as a part of the team that it takes to construct a building, and can provide any/all of the services listed below:
- EPD can refer you to a qualified SIP general contractor. We welcome the opportunity to educate any general contractor on SIP construction by providing a site advisor to your project.
- EPD provides SIP panel production drawings for your project. We can also recommend architectural services to assist you with the design process.
- EPD refers and advises you on all aspects of planning your project: general contractors, architects, planning commissions,etc.
- EPD offers various styles of SIP homes. We will also work with your architect to create a custom home and will build to your specifications.
- EPD offers several styles of do-it-yourself room addition kits. We also provide custom room additions based on your needs.
- EPD recommends that you complete your SIP shell package with energy efficient low-E windows and doors.
- EPD prefers the Weyerhauser Trus Joist Floor System and is an authorized dealer.
- EPD advises installing an energy efficient foundation, such as Insulated Concrete Systems.
Here's a typical scenario when you work with us:
- You contact EPD.
- We discuss your project with you and explain our services.
- You meet with us to discuss plans and the benefits of SIPs.
- We review your plans or arrange to have plans drawn up.
- We present a quote.
- A quote is accepted -- you have decided to use energy efficient SIPs!
- Panel drawings are completed and sent to Insulspan to be manufactured.
- Panels are shipped to the EPD plant in Ravenna, Ohio.
- Panels are fabricated in our plant to be prepared for installation in your home.
- Completed panels are shipped to the jobsite.
- Crane and crew arrive at site to install the SIPs.
- SIPs are installed on your foundation.
- Your home is wrapped in Insulspan Green House Wrap.
- Your new home has an energy efficient secure shell.
