Chardon, Ohio
Entry from January, 2007
This Cape House in Chardon, Ohio sure looks warm! The first few pictures in this installment show the roof panels being installed. One of the great advantages to building with SIPs is the enclosure time. As soon as the foundation is set, a SIP home can be enclosed in a day or two. Traditional stick built homes can be open to the elements for weeks at a time. SIPs are ready to go - as you see here.

Navarre, Ohio
This Timber Frame home was recently constructed in Navarre, Ohio. SIPs are a great addition to any timber frame home, as they allow for full exposure of the timbers while providing exceptional energy efficiency. Have you ever had a chilly dormer - not with SIPs - they provide consistent insulation throughout the whole structure.
